Clive Christian is a luxurious British interior design company and a perfume company. The task was to introduce the brand to the digital world and design an e-commerce platform for their international client base. The brand is historically linked to Queen Victoria, who gave the permission to use her crown for their iconic bottles. These stories became the platform for how we communicated the brand in the digital space. We have insured to reach users in a more interactive and immediate way. Our motif is creating moments of magic wherever we have a chance!

We were a small team consisting of a UX Director and myself. The team worked closely from the vision phase until the end of the project. I collaborated with the visual design and the development team to ensure that the final product represents our design and vision.


Define a new level in luxury perfume

Clive Christian is famously known for transforming the expected into the extraordinary. The challenge lied in designing a digital platform where we could inspire users to discover the brand through ‘emotional’ brand stories, while providing a luxurious e-commerce experience.


User at the heart of content approach

Designing a flexible and responsive approach to templates in order to ensure that each product story will have the appropriate depth within the new site. Features were defined to solve the core problems in the best possible way.

Flexible design 

The designs consisted of a modular approach which can scale up or down depending on the amount of content available to tell the story of the product and drive the user into the purchase flow.

Moments of magic

“It’s taking something ordinary, adding some magic, and making it extraordinary.” Our creative objective was to take the core elements of the brand and add touches of digital magic through surprising interactions that lure the customer into the Clive Christian world.
